Before anything
else, preparation is the key to success.

First I want to take a minute to mention that I decided
to start on December 1 instead of January 1.
Kind of obvious to anyone reading the blog (that would be no one). Since
I am ready to begin there doesn’t really seem to be an advantage to waiting an
extra month to start. Now back to the regularly scheduled (if I ever figure out
how to use the Blogger schedule function) post.
In prep for Experiment 3, I’ve
worn my pedometer a couple of days. Actually I’ve forgotten to wear it more
than I have worn it, forgot again this morning. May need an experiment or two
for increasing memory. But I did get 2 complete day readings out of all my
attempts so far.

Apparently I move as much as a
slug. A lazy slug. A lazy slug who keeps
slipping into a coma. I suppose I should be happy that at least I’m over 1,000
steps. But I’m imagining how hard those 10,000 steps will be on Saturday. Oh
Saturday, how am I simultaneously excited and terrified of you?
